Covertime Limited arranges the sale of motor insurance policies on behalf of various insurers. The insurer underwriting your policy is listed on your Certificate of Motor Insurance and in the Policy Wording. The coverage provided by any insurance policy or product we issue is subject to the terms, conditions, and exclusions outlined in the policies. You can access a copy of all our policy documentation on our website or upon request.

Details of all motor insurance policies purchased via our website will be shared with the MIB.

Compulsory motor insurance providers are required under the Road Traffic Act 1988 to be members of the Motor Insurers’ Bureau (MIB) and contribute to its funding. The products and services offered on this website are only available to UK residents who are insuring private vehicles in Great Britain, Northern Ireland, and the Isle of Man. By requesting a quote, you confirm that you are a UK resident and agree to notify us if you cease to be a permanent UK resident.

You may be able to get an indicative price from us through an AI assistant, for example the Covertime app in ChatGPT, or another AI assistant that uses the quote tools published on our website (our "AI quote tools"). If you use them, the following terms apply in addition to the rest of these Terms of Use.

• Indicative price only. A price given through an AI assistant is an estimate, shown as a price range. It is not an offer of insurance and we are not bound by it. Your confirmed price, the insurer and the terms of cover are shown on our website, and you can only buy a policy there, after checking and confirming your details.
• For your own quote only. You may only use our AI quote tools to ask for a quote for yourself. The Personal Use and Residency Requirement sections above apply.
• AI assistants are provided by other companies. We do not control the AI assistant you choose to use and are not responsible for what it says, including how it describes our prices, products or cover. If anything an AI assistant tells you differs from what is shown on our website, the information on our website applies.
• Acceptable use. You must not use, or allow any AI assistant, bot or other automated tool to use, our website or AI quote tools to: request quotes in bulk or at a volume beyond normal personal use; collect, copy or reproduce our prices or other content; enter false details or another person's details without their permission; try to get around our limits, checks or security measures; or access any part of our website or systems other than through the tools we make available.
• Your confirmation is required. Declarations, assumptions and payment on our website must be reviewed and confirmed by you. You are responsible for any purchase made using your details.
• Our right to limit or withdraw access. We may limit, suspend or withdraw our AI quote tools, or block access by any AI assistant or user, at any time and without notice, for example to prevent misuse or protect our services. This does not affect your ability to get a quote directly on our website.
• Your personal information. Information received through an AI assistant is handled in line with our Privacy Notice (see "Getting a quote through an AI assistant").
