We're a team of friendly insurance experts who love what we do – we love it so much that this isn't the first time we've done it! Covertime may have just launched in 2025, but the team are no stranger to the fast lane of temporary car insurance…
Members of our founding team built Tempcover, all the way back in 2006. Fast forward to 2025, and we’re back doing it again. We have over 50 year's combined experience helping people get out on the road safely.
Our team have built Covertime from scratch, so when you’re using Covertime, you’re using the very latest industry technology – keeping your journey smooth even before you get out on the road.

A message from our CEO
Welcome to Covertime.
For many years annual insurance was the only option for drivers, until our previous business provided an easy, flexible and affordable alternative. Back in 2006, we created a whole new industry of temporary insurance, something I'm truly proud of. We then sold the business in 2022.
Many may have thought that this is where our story ends, but it's now just the beginning, as we're back to do it again...
This time better than ever.
Covertime is a new entrant to the temporary insurance world, but we are by no means new to it ourselves. Our small team have a vast wealth of experience working within both temporary and the wider motor insurance market.
We are all obsessed with making insurance better for everyone.
Technology sits at the heart of everything we do, as we've tried to make our process to obtain a quote ridiculously quick and easy.
Where in the past, many insurance companies have tried to make 'quick quote' engines for indicative pricing; we're living and breathing a quick quote for temporary insurance that you can purchase immediately and hit the road.
It's a true convenience.
We will be growing the team over the coming months and years, to ensure that Covertime is always pushing the boundaries of what is possible.
'But that's how we've always done it' is not part of our mantra and never will be.
Adopting a process of continual testing and improvements, we believe in the aggregation of marginal gains to make everything continually simpler and more straightforward for our customers. Our customers are the most important part of this story.
Every customer voice matters to us.
We read and reply to every review we receive good or bad. If a customer is not happy (something we hope is very rare), we will be doing everything in our power to correct it, learn from it and create a positive outcome.
